I thought I would share some pictures with you all. Enjoy!
Bethany won't keep bows in hair for anything. I managed to snap this picture quickly, which might be why it's a tad bit blurry. She looks so cute with bows. If only she would leave them in. She's getting better. She left one in for about 10 minutes the other day. That's a big improvement from 10 seconds.
Daddy was helping Bethany have a good time on Freedom.
Bethany in her ducky bathtub from Aunt Teresa. We've had this in her room this week, and she thinks it's the greatest toy. When she's been quiet for awhile, I'll go looking for her, and she's usually sitting in her bathtub having a good old time.
This was Bethany's first taste of a chocolate chip cookie still warm from the oven.
I think she enjoyed it.

A Few Slow, Not-So-Steady Steps
Yes! Bethany is finally walking. She took a few, very hesitant steps a week ago. And, unlike, some kids, she's not running around yet. It's still a pretty slow process. She has to do it in the most difficult way. She crawls to the middle of room with nothing around her. Then she pushes herself up to standing from squatting. Once she gains her balance, she takes some slow, halting steps. It's all pretty cute. She's so proud of herself every time she does it.
She is also climbing on things more. She loves to climb up the steps. I used to have to watch her when we were in the basement because she got into all my Mary Kay inventory. Now I have to make sure she doesn't go right back up the stairs.
Yesterday Bethany was "helping" me put away the groceries. I looked down and realized she had put something in her mouth. It looked like she had found the grapes, which she loves. However after she chewed on it a little bit, I noticed it wasn't just a grape. It was a grape tomato. She decided she didn't like that nearly as well as she likes grapes, and it came right back out her mouth. She stopped looking for food in the bags after that.
Here's some pictures to show you what we've been up to.
Bethany doing a little reading. What else would you expect from a pastor's daughter?
One morning she woke up with her eye like that. It went down as the day went on. She must have had one rough night of sleep.
The first weekend in April, I went to a Mary Kay conference in St. Louis. I had such a good time and learned so much. Here's the ladies I went with. They were so much fun to travel with. This picture just proves the point about how fantastic Mary Kay women look.
One example of Bethany's climbing skills. She had a lot of fun climbing up and down. Another example of climbing in the laundry basket.
In.
And back out.
